ITDR, the sole ADR institute providing ADR services for IT, privacy and data conflicts only, celebrates its 30st anniversary this year! This year, “ITDR, experts in IT and Data Conflict Management” has been introduced as the international tradename for SGOA, instituted in both the Netherlands as Switzerland. With the “I” of international, the “IT” for information technology”, the “D” for data and disputes, and last but far from least, the “R” for resolution. Because that is in the “DNA” of ITDR and its independent experts: find a, enduring resolution for the conflict between parties.
In 1989 ITDR (SGOA) Netherlands introduced alternative methods for IT conflict resolution and offered “mini trial” based on the mini trial methods used in the USA. On 29 June 2019, 30 years will have passed. Years with ups and downs on a grow path towards a full service institute offering all sorts of conflict resolution and conflict management tools for IT and data conflicts. With its own Acadamy, newsletters, courses and trainings on case law, arbitration, mediation, a bi – annual master thesis competition, ITDR contributes to the enhancement of the knowledge on IT and data conflicts and conflict management. In the Netherlands and in Switzerland with the ambition to further internationalise. For those international ambitions, the new name “ITDR experts in IT and Data Conflict Management” will be used. In Switzerland, only the name “ITDR” will be used. In the Netherlands both SGOA as ITDR will be used; in other countries, ITDR will be used as the only name.
